BRAND HISTORY
Scaini’s was one of the first italian factories to produce accumulators, which until then were exclusively imported from abroad. Scaini’s production included accumulators for submarines, auto, trains, telegraph and telephone services, and electrical systems in mines.
Born in 1909 and become supplier of original equipment of Fiat, Alfa, Lancia, as well as Iveco, Landini and many other manufacturers.
In the 70’s and 80’s, Scaini’s was one of the main production realities in the industrial centre of Villacidro, in Sardinia. In almost 100 years of productions, the factory has distinguished itself by several innovative and high quality achievements for which it has remained in the hearts of many industry players.
In 2025 SKG ITALIA has acquired the SCAINI brand with the intention of relaunching the brand and enhancing the relationship with dealers who want to deal with this product. With this acquisition, SKG ITALIA collects the legacy of this historic brand for the italian automotive industry.
BATTERIES LINES
electra LINE
The of Electra’s batteries line for automobilies use the Calcium-Calcium technology with thicker plates than found in most products on the market.
They are maintenance free (MF) and this quality further distinguishes them from competitors. The materials used are of proven durability and the production technology is more than well established. The models for industrial vehicles are designed in the traditional way, with caps and thicker plates in order to be able to well support work cycles.
EFB TRUCK LINE
SCAINI EFB truck batteries are available in two versions (B and C). Thanks to the high thickness of the plates, their number and the top and bottom fixing, they have a superior lifetime. In addition, a glass mat separator has been incorporated. The result is a greater resistance to vibration and a longer life of the battery, making them particularly suitable for vehicles that travel long distance.
POTENZA+ LINE
The Potenza+ batteries can be used in the start&stop applications where EFB technology is provided. They have a glass mat separator between each plate and they have on average one plate than most products on the market. The line also includes several versions for Asian cars. Moreover, they are the best choice for different types of cars, both recent and vintage.
AGM LINE
AGM batteries are specifically designed for start-stop vehicles that require an entirely hermetic product made using Absorbent Glass Mat technology. These Lead-Acid batteries have an electrolyte that is absorbed into special glass mat separators instead of being in free liquid form. Consequently, they are maintenance-free and highly resistant to vibration. Thanks to their sturdy, modern construction, they can also be used as buffer batteries in electric cars.
